€ 28 million for children with critical illnesses
This will be the 17th time that Team Rynkeby rides to Paris to raise money for children with critical illnesses. The first time was in 2002, when 11 cyclists gathered together for a good cause. Today Team Rynkeby’s Tour de Paris is one of the largest and most visible fitness and charity events in Scandinavia.
“Team Rynkeby members cover all their own costs associated with the trip to Paris. And since Rynkeby Foods and God Morgon cover all administrative costs for Team Rynkeby Foundation, we can send all funds raised directly on to the organisations that we work with in the six countries we operate in,” says Carl Erik Dalbøge, Director of Team Rynkeby Foundation.
The bulk of the funds is used to finance medical research, while a smaller portion goes to information initiatives as well as direct support to affected children and their families.
Over the years, Team Rynkeby has raised € 28 million for children with critical illnesses. In 2017 alone, the charity cycling team donated € 8.84 million to critically ill children in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, the Faroe Islands and Iceland.
Team Rynkeby will be cycling to Paris from 30 June to 7 July 2018. Read more here: www.team-rynkeby.com.
