TV documentary about Team Rynkeby now online
Now you can watch the sports documentary “Team Rynkeby – Bound for Paris”, which was broadcast on national television in Denmark last autumn. The documentary closely follows Team Rynkeby before, during and after last year’s trip to Paris.
The sports documentary “Team Rynkeby – Bound for Paris”, chronicling the preparations and experiences in connection with Team Rynkeby’s 15th trip to Paris in 2016, was broadcast during the autumn and winter on the national Danish sports network TV2 Sport.
The documentary was produced by the production company Freebird Film for the Team Rynkeby Foundation and the broadcast rights were immediately transferred to TV2 so it could be shown on national television.
The Team Rynkeby Foundation has now secured permission to also show the documentary on its own platforms. The documentary can now be seen in Team Rynkeby’s video gallery and at the bottom of this update as a result of the agreement.
In the documentary, which is now subtitled and narrated in English, viewers get up close to Jane Christensen from Sdr. Omme, Denmark, who lost her son to cancer at the age of six, and Rasmus Christensen from Aarhus, who himself had cancer as a child. Carl Erik Dalbøge, director of the Team Rynkeby Foundation, says:
“In collaboration with Freebird Film, we sought to make a documentary providing a first-hand look into the project and the journey of its participants, from the first rides on a spinning bike in the dark days of winter to their triumph in Paris ten months later, where cyclists of many different nationalities come together and discover the true magnitude of the project.”
